Description: Seeking an entry-level Civil/Structural Engineering professional with 0-1 years of related experience. This position performs assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks. Work is directed and checked on a task basis by a more experienced Engineer.
Specifications:
Four year ABET accredited BSCE degree
EIT preferred
Basic Structural design knowledge with experience in AutoCAD and/or Revit
Experience and/or interest in the design of structural steel and foundation systems for buildings and equipment
Industrial, Food and Chemical/Refining experience preferred
Experience with structural engineering analysis design tools preferred
3D structural modeling experience a plus
Surveying and construction cost estimating experience a plus
Ability to travel
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk, and hear.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
This position must also be able to perform industrial field work which may include hazardous locations, ladders, and stairs.
Responsibilities:
Works in a safe manner at all times. Adheres to both Matrix and client established safety standards when appropriate.
Perform design and engineering functions in accordance with accepted practices and company standards.
Perform design calculations related to tasks assigned.
Prepare project scopes of work, preliminary design concepts, and cost estimates for projects.
Assist in gathering field data and preparing project designs.
Participate as a team member, contributing ideas and solutions
Prepare scopes of work, specifications, cost estimates, and other necessary documents for projects.
Prepare project correspondence as required.
Maintain positive client relationships on projects assigned.
Have the ability to grow into a role of leading projects through design, coordination and delivery

We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications, ranging from $66,000 to $86,000 annually. The final salary will be determined based on various factors including candidate's experience and qualifications.
